Freddy + Rob and Hillary
It’s our very own Freddy!
A Good Samaritan brought Freddy to the shelter after her son found him tied to a pole in a park in Utica. There was still snow on the ground and he was extremely emaciated. He was only 39lbs, you could see every bone in his body, and he had an injury to his muzzle (possibly a burn or from duct tape). He also had separated cartilage on one side of his ribs which was a healed injury. His heart was broken and you could see it in his eyes. Rob and Hillary brought Freddy home the same day he came to the shelter. Once he healed and was accepted by their pack, they made the decision to adopt him.
Today Freddy is 64lb, his muzzle healed amazingly, and he’s just the sweetest guy we could ever ask for. The couple's other dogs (all adopted from Anita's SSHS) showed him how dogs are supposed to live. He loves his furry siblings and he is always cuddled up with someone. Freedy recently celebrated 1 year of freedom with cake and presents.
